Apr 21, 2012 - BTW you have to extract the drivers first, click on the download and they will put them in C:/ATI/Support or C:/AMD/Support. It will try to install them so just exit and use the procedure on the video.

Apr 21, 2012 - Thanks for the guide! I updated my old Toshiba laptop that runs XP, I had to go through the Device Manager but the procedure was the same. The latest ATI drivers for XP are from 2010 but it was better than the stock 2005 drivers!

Apr 16, 2012 - Hmm, Toshiba's a bit lazy with their driver updates aren't they? :D I looked on the support page for my model and the driver is something like version 8.7! Anyway, the Vision Engine is working fine on my L650D. This driver version is 12.3. Much better XD! Thanks for the vid.

Apr 15, 2012 - @leonsiobe i have successfully updated my old ATI graphics driver on sony Vaio VPC33EZ0E model. Now i have the latest driver 12.3 working with new ATI Catalyst user interface. The main concern is, you have to restart the computer twice in order for it to work properly which is not a big deal for me.
leonsiobe Says:
Apr 14, 2012 - Has anyone been able to update their SONY vaio using this method?
ddraven Says:
Apr 14, 2012 - My won't open.
TechFreak94 Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - Yes it is. As a matter of fact it is exactly what it is supposed to do. The older drivers that shipped with most computers did not have or did not integrate well, the vision engine for that AMD/ATI line of mobile graphics. These newer driver have implemented the vision engine which should help increase your performance and stability. :)
gln2d3 Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - I have a question, is it normal for the newest driver to replace Catalyst Control Centre with the Vision Engine?
simonmandal Says:
Apr 7, 2012 - Thanks - this did the trick!
