Imagine if Steve was never born - no Apple (so no Hypercard) and no NeXT and nothing to inspire Microsoft to build Windows. No world wide web in 1991 for sure. Maybe in 2001 it might have happened, or later, we'll never know, but because of SJ we got it as early as we did.

Feb 2, 2012 - Xerox never produced a PC. In fact, they thought it was impossible to build a pc with a GUI interface, the lowest cost machine they could build was in the $100k price range. Also, Apple invented the modern mouse, one to last a year with a warranty. The Xerox mouse would fall apart in six days of usage because it was only a prototype. Thanks to Steve Jobs, the pc has a GUI today.
