Jun 8, 2009 - Thanks for the encouragement... I have 11yr old triplets that I am going to involve in some of the build process. They will be my "sanding pros" lol. I should be picking up my remaining lumber that I need tomorrow. I'll post some vid soon as possible. Take care and thanks again.
Jun 4, 2009 - Thanks dakk.... this video is worth it's weight in epoxy gold lol. I downloaded the plans over two months ago for the D5 and have looked far and near for some video of the construction process.
I was hooked on the boat the minute I saw it. I'm finally ready to start building mine and your video will help a ton. I have plenty of composites exp but you may already know a puzzle is a puzzle lol. Thanks for helping to show better where the pieces go.
Kudos on the boat build. Well done.

Jan 4, 2009 - Great job and great looking dinghy!
I have been planning on building the D5 myself and it looks like its not all that hard as long as you have some decent carpentry skills.
I have a website where I post sailboat projects and dinghy construction and all other sorts of stuff. This video looks like it would be an axcellent addition.
My website is Sailing and Such.

Jun 7, 2009 - Hey Ross, With composite experience, you wont have any problems building the D5. I hate that epoxy though. Thanks and good luck. Dave
