Oct 23, 2011 - You must work over 80 hours a week in order to pay back student loans?? That's truly sad! As for me, I'm on an "Income Sensitive" initiative program myself so I still have time to eat, sleep, remember what my house actually looks like or whatever. Well, I owe about just $20,000 in student loans, but that is still a plenty, isn't it?

thesiouxgoddess Says:

Oct 23, 2011 - Like I already said on another video, it's not that HIGHER EDUCATION itself is so bad................it's the COST of higher education! I'm "pro-education" 100% but "anti-deep-shit-debt!"

PoloniaAmericas Says:

Oct 23, 2011 - Go to Poland and study for free. Go to Austria Vienna they have English schools

silentonall Says:

Oct 19, 2011 - Most ANYONE going to a Community College, DeVry, Phoenix University...especially in your Freshman and Sophomore years, DROP OUT NOW AND CUT YOUR LOSSES!!!! Job placement is DEAD! (DOA) Cut your Student loans in half by DROPPING OUT because you won't have a job relevant to your degree anyway. Remember this one fact alone >>>> YOU CANNOT CLAIM BANKRUPTCY ALONG WITH YOUR STUDENT LOAN!!

wojtek0000 Says:

Oct 18, 2011 - The government inflated the cost of education on purpose. To push people into debt and to dumb people down. When you are in debt you're not concentrating on your schoolwork. You're just trying to make ends meet and pass.

mainmedic Says:

Oct 15, 2011 - The real reason or so they say happened back in the 70's and 80's after the federal student loan program was started. Students would take out large loans get their degrees and then claim bankruptcy (Yes one could do that back then) They would then be debt free and in a couple of years have good credit again and they still had degrees. Lawyers did this, Doctors did this. After awhile the banks and those funding the loans got wise and lobbied congress to change the laws.

Copper9 Says:

Oct 11, 2011 - For all those who argue they don't want their tax dollars to go to student loans guess what? They already are! What do think bails out Sallie Mae when students default? If it takes a lifetime to pay off a student loan, what makes you think you can just save up for a few years and pay for it? Don't be so blind to others situations. Not everyone is living the fun and fancy free life that movies advertise in college or after college.

Foreshadow44 Says:

Sep 24, 2011 - I applaud the international bankers for creating the home, student loans and crisis that eliminated hordes of retirement. The system is successful. Look at the true goals of the system: to shift assets, and create an invisible cage. You can go anywhere in the world but your debt and credit score are still there. Think about that. You are in an invisible prison right now AND your complete free to roam around. How ingenious is that! No need to pay for you to be in prison and have that paid for.

M3minusGrowth Says:

Sep 15, 2011 - Just become a full-time student every summer semester at a local community college. Summer semester generally is 2 to 3 months and then your loans are deferred for 6 month afterwards. So for 8 to 9 months every year your loans are deferred. Just take 6 credits in an 100 level on-line course and your a full-time student again and loans are deferred. Generally 6 credit hour equal full-time status during summer semesters. It is cheaper to pay for 6 community college credits than 1 loan payment.

Sep 6, 2011 - It's not the government. They are the puppets. Look to the root of the problem. We are headed to the same recipe as WWII Germany.

Sep 5, 2011 - Finally someone with some sense. No one has any empathy anymore. Just because you don't have debt doesn't mean the Govt doesn't see you nor treat you as a slave. WAKE UP!!!

JamuelSLackson Says:

Sep 2, 2011 - Even if you could save all the money you made during two years of working as an unskilled laborer to pay for college, you still wouldn't have enough money to pay for a degree. And all colleges are expensive. Actually, the "fancy" colleges help the students in need out a lot more than the crappy colleges. Harvard for instance has a no loan policy. If you're accepted and can't pay for it, they'll cover your costs. If you go to a crappy college, you'll have a hard time finding a job.

FrankSheppard973 Says:

Aug 29, 2011 - $900 a month?... Damn, who made up the laws regarding student loans because these loan companies are nuts if they think people are making that much on average, especially in the state the US economy is in today. Something that I never understood was no bankruptcy protection against student loans, why is that? What makes these student loans so special?

samten10a Says:

Aug 28, 2011 - I don't know five years ago most states had education annuity that would give the student undergraduate degree. That is if the parents and/or grandparents bought at birth. The cost was only 5K it was for any state school you could get into. It paid for the whole works. That was my understanding. Some states even had a one for graduate degree also. It seems to me your parents did not give a shit if you went to college.

facelessstateofmind Says:

Aug 27, 2011 - Sallie Mae is SCUM! STAY AWAY! They can garnish your wages, YOU CAN'T get out of these loans, not even in Bankruptcy! They own you and can get away with murder! PIGS! PIGS! PIGS! If you do not repay them before you die, they can garnish your estate! How can you sleep at night when American students are trying to better themselves? SHAME ON YOU SALLIE MAE!! please also google screw sallie mae, you will find a site dedicated to them! WAKE UP AMERICA private student loans SCAM!

facelessstateofmind Says:

Aug 27, 2011 - it's not your tax dollars asshole, sallie mae is a private corporation

gev2323 Says:

Aug 26, 2011 - The problem doesn't lie with the students. We were told all throughout our lives that our only chance to get a career and a life worth living was through college and that student loans were the answer if you can't pay. What they DIDN'T tell us is that it is likely that our loan companies will destroy us if we can't find a job equivalent to our field of study. But there are no jobs. None. And companies like SallieMae don't want to negotiate if the borrower can't pay the full amount.

KyeSurreall Says:

Aug 26, 2011 - I HAD grants my school and fafsa for some reason the process gets fucked..and I HAD money now i dont have anything. so no im not bitter im fucking pissed that i cant finish my education. And im regretting starting.

pat206387 Says:

Aug 25, 2011 - I didn't get grants etc. You should be THANKFUL that you received those funds. People always want to blame the system. The system helped you more than it's helping me, and I am not bitter.
